Study on Out of Africa from the Perspective of Heterotopia

Abstract—Out of Africa gives us different imaginations of spaces from the literal meaning, and many scholars have analyzed it from different perspectives. However, never has Foucault’s theory of heterotopia. This paper tries to give an analysis about the thinking spaces in this article combined with the six features of Foucault's heterotopia, then shows us a different Africa and different ways of thinking.
